United Global Organization of Development-UGOOD is a non-profit, non-political and non-government organization, duly registered with the Government of Pakistan under Trust Act 1882 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). The organization was registered on June 3rd, 2003 with the ambition to strive for the Sustainable Human Developments by working in the areas of Education, Health & Nutrition, Environment & Climate Change, Child Rights & Protection, Women Economic Empowerment, Youth Development, Volunteerism, Peacebuilding and Disaster Management & Relief.
UGOOD works on “GOLDEN PRINCIPLE OF SELF HELP†and number of program activities are carried out and implemented through Male and Female Volunteers. UGOOD encourages the Self-Help potential of Rural and Urban Communities through the establishment of Community Based Organizations (CBOs), which support them in the formation of viable local institutions. Donors, Philanthropist and individuals concerned with the development and betterment of society, especially education and skill development, help to run various program and activities. UGOOD at present operates all over in Pakistan through its affiliated and associated local Partners. Currently UGOOD has more than 515 CBOs and around 1250 registered NGOs from all over in Pakistan including Kashmir, NWFP, Fata and Gilgit Baltistan. The support, which UGOOD offers to communities, concentrates on the promotion and management of Education, Health, Environment, Women Economic Empowerment and Volunteerism through our partners and Self-Help approach. UGOOD is looking forward for new partners/donors to help and assist it in expanding and further strengthening its program activities. This includes strengthening and introducing the program to new areas, adding more features to increase its impact in rural and urban communities for poverty alleviation and generate employment opportunities.
